The prologue is meant to help establish what players can expect from the newest God Eater installment rather than demonstrate any gameplay, so those hoping for a look at what the localized game will play like after its international release will have to wait longer. Instead, Bandai Namco’s trailer helps fans get familiar with some of the main characters of God Eater Resurrection, namely Soma, Lindow, Tsubaki and the wonderfully-named Johannes von Schicksal....

Geoff Keighley, longtime games media member and the creator and host of the annual Game Awards ceremony, recently went hand son with the game and came out of the experience a big believer in the new God of War. Keighley noted that while the game retains familiar elements, much of it has been evolved from the combat and puzzles to the visuals and the story. The two and a half hour demo contained a lot of content including a look at the progression and new RPG mechanics, though Sony Santa Monica revealed that it was only about 5% of the entire experience....

God of War is currently in production for PlayStation 4 and is expected to release at some point in early 2018.

According to the position’s description, Santa Monica Studio is looking for a Senior Character Concept Artist to work on a currently unnamed project for the developer, but some details could indicate that the enterprise might include some historical or mythological figures, like those that would be found in a God of War sequel. For example, one segment of the job post reads that applicants will be expected to, “Work with the Art Directors and Leads to create a high quality characters, gods, creatures, and props,” with the reference of “gods” standing out in particular....

The new positions appear to mostly be comprised of senior and lead positions, which may indicate that the Sony-owned developer is staffing up to begin working on a new project rather than just a follow up to the massively successful God of War. This raises the question of what else Santa Monica could be working on, as the studio is really only known for the God of War series. If the job listings are for a new project, it’s highly likely that it will be a new franchise entirely, which would make sense considering Sony’s investment in their exclusive titles and the studio’s pedigree....

The God of War director posted a new video to his personal YouTube channel, intending to give fans his reaction to reading all of the game reviews for the first time. Barlog is clearly nervous at the start of the video, worried about what people think of a game he and his team put five years of blood, sweat, and tears into. His nerves quickly give way to relief and a sense of pride at what was accomplished....

While some of his traits remain from the last game, these have also seen a change. Santa Monica Studio has illustrated a far more in-depth Atreus and this is partly down to his massive overarching importance within the entirety of the game’s story. 5 He’s Impulsive From the very moment the game begins, players are faced with Atreus’ frustrations with the lack of answers to his questions regarding Loki. With tensions rising between him and Kratos, further down the line it is clear to see that Atreus acts on impulse....

God of War is releasing on PC in January 2022, allowing those without a PlayStation to finally play the epic ahead of its sequel’s release. It’s not being developed by Santa Monica Studio though, as instead a port specialist in Jetpack Interactive is developing God of War’s PC port while Santa Monica oversees it, but that’s not to say God of War Ragnarok is the only game in development at Santa Monica Studio....

The latest trailer for God of War Ragnarok gives a taste of what fans can expect from the story, in addition to highlighting some new features. It takes place a few years after 2018’s God of War, and shows Kratos, along with his son Atreus, going on a quest to find Tyr. As it was revealed that Atreus is actually the god of mischief, Loki in the previous game, it will be fair to expect a lot of character development for him in this sequel....

As of yesterday for the PC and today for the PlayStation 5, a new patch has launched for the game, with the team behind Godfall delivering version 2.0.93 to its legion of players. The new patch brings fixes to the game that players have been after since launch, preventing crashes and generally improving all-around stability. Unlike most 2D side-scrollers, players take control of an entire crowd of characters rather than just a single protagonist. Tonight We Riot is not shy about its political overtones either, in the game players play as a group of socialists who are attempting to overthrow their capitalist society. This is not the first example of GOG giving away a game for free....
