For about the next 2 days, fans will have the chance to pick up retro-brawler Tonight We Riot. Unlike most 2D side-scrollers, players take control of an entire crowd of characters rather than just a single protagonist. Tonight We Riot is not shy about its political overtones either, in the game players play as a group of socialists who are attempting to overthrow their capitalist society.
This is not the first example of GOG giving away a game for free. Around this time last month, GOG offered cell-shaded shooter XIII to fans for a limited time as well.

To claim the giveaway, fans need to head to the GOG homepage where they will find a banner for Tonight We Riot. Once they click that, they’ll be prompted to log in and claim the offer.
This giveaway comes at a time when many are expressing their frustration with the industry-standard 30% cut that digital game stores levy against developers. Still, GOG seems to at least attempt to counteract their profiting sharing by frequently offering giveaways and massive sales which serve to heavily increase exposure for indie developers. Regardless of fans’ views on digital stores, the chance to pick up Tonight We Riot is only open for around 2 days and offers fans an easy way to support a developer that they may have otherwise overlooked.
Tonight We Riot is available on PC and Nintendo Switch.
