God of War Ragnarok has many unique challenges, like the Crucible Trials, which add another dimension to the game and gives players something extra to do besides the primary campaign. One well-known challenge in God of War Ragnarok is killing Odin’s ravens, which yields exciting rewards like armor and runic attacks. Many players struggle to kill Odin’s ravens in God of War Ragnarok as they’re constantly moving, making it difficult to hit them. Surprisingly, one God of War Ragnarok gamer accidentally killed a raven of Odin in the most bizarre fashion.

Reddit user Wulvarune uploaded a video on the God of War Ragnarok subreddit showing their incredible achievement of killing an Odin’s raven. The footage shows Kratos and Atreus landing on a beach where the player spots a seal that helps open Nornir Chests in God of War Ragnarok. They recall the Leviathan Axe to destroy the aforementioned seal when they’re surprised to see an on-screen notification.

The prompt says the user killed a raven of Odin in God of War Ragnarok, giving them 50 experience points. The odds of a recalled Leviathan Axe killing an Odin’s raven on its way back are extremely low, as many God of War Ragnarok players would already know. Wulvarune’s video is another example of why Leviathan Axe might be the best weapon in God of War Ragnarok, despite fierce competition from Blades of Chaos and Draupnir Spear. The axe’s ability to return to Kratos while damaging anything in its path can be handy in many situations, as seen in the video above.

There are 48 ravens of Odin in God of War Ragnarok, scattered across the nine realms in the game world. God of War Ragnarok players must kill at least six Odin’s ravens to unlock a secret reward; a Girdle of Raven Tears chest armor. Those who kill all 48 will get the most lucrative reward: The Finger of Ruin Heavy Runic Attack. These ravens are essentially Odin’s spies in God of War Ragnarok as they alert him about Kratos’s movements and current status.

God of War Ragnarok is available now for PS4 and PS5.
