If the player wishes, they can find all sorts of treasures while exploring through God of War Ragnarok. One such treasure, the Demise of Dagestr treasure, can be found by exploring the Lake of Nine, but finding the map leading to the treasure’s location must be found in order for the search to begin. Sadly, the treasure map is waiting in a different realm, so players will need to do some backtracking before they can start the hunt.

Finding The Map

Finding the map to the Dagestr treasure requires Kratos to visit Svartalfheim after he has escaped the Applecore with Tyr during the main story. The map is hidden in an area that can only be accessed if Kratos has the Draupnir Spear, so players must ensure they have first completed Chapter 10: Forging Destiny before they try to find Dagestr’s treasure.

The fastest way to get back to the Applecore is to fast-travel back to the Mystic Gateway located at the Applecore Descent. If players don’t have access to this Mystic Gateway yet, they can also use the raft Kratos escaped with Tyr in to reach the elevator that descends inside.

From opposite the Mystic Gateway, Kratos can use the Draupnir Spear to create a new route. Then, he can follow the path ahead of him until he finds a wind spout on a pillar to his right. Upon lodging the Draupnir Spear inside the opening, he will then be able to climb up onto the previously inaccessible ledge. Upon reaching this new area, the map to the Dagestr treasure can be seen lying beside the wall on the right.

Finding The Demise of Dagestr Treasure

With the Dagestr treasure map acquired, Kratos can now return to the Lake of Nine in Midgard to uncover what the map leads to. Upon leaving the Mystic Gateway north of Tyr’s Temple, he should proceed west until he encounters a rock with a gold crack on its surface. By destroying the rock with the Draupnir Spear, he can then proceed down the previously inaccessible path.

Continuing down the freshly made path, Kratos will eventually run into a glowing object embedded in the snowy ground. Interacting with it will cause him to grip his Leviathan Axe and use it to unearth the hidden object, which is then revealed to be Dagestr’s treasure.

Upon obtaining the treasure, Kratos will be rewarded with two Asgardian Ingots, two Luminous Alloy, two Petrified Bones, and forty Shattered Runes. He will also receive fifty points of XP and the Helheim’s Force amulet, an item that allows the wearer to deal more melee damage while their HP is below 50%.

God of War Ragnarok is now available to play on PS4 and PS5.
