The highly anticipated sequel received praise from fans and critics alike upon release for its tight gameplay, strong narrative, and excellent voice cast. Wanting to pay homage to the god-slaying Spartan hero, Reddit user Liew78 has shared pictures of their stunning recreation of Kratos’ Blades of Chaos on the r/GodofWar subreddit. The detailed replicas of the deadly blades from God of War: Ragnarok were made entirely out of wood, and feature patterns of glowing runes etched into the burned wood of the Blades of Chaos’ surface that give the replicas a striking and powerful appearance. The impressive attention to detail continues onto the blades’ hilts, which feature intricate carvings that are a near-perfect match to their in-game counterparts.
Commenters responding to the impressive pictures were blown away by the incredible craftsmanship of the homemade Blades of Chaos. While fans of the hit action-adventure series are used to seeing all manner of God of War fan tributes, it’s clear that these impressive blade replicas were seen by many Redditors as being a cut above the rest. Several comments inquired about purchasing their own Blades of Chaos set, while others expressed excitement after Liew78 posted that they plan on eventually crafting all of Kratos’ weapons in a similar style.
