The anime industry is filled with characters who possess incredible strength and powerful abilities, and Kratos is more than capable of defeating most of them. That being said, there are actually a handful of anime characters that even someone as strong as Kratos cannot defeat.

He also uses various mythical weapons and items in combat. If Kratos were to ever find himself in an anime universe, he would likely destroy most of that world’s characters with relative ease, but there are a few individuals who could possibly take him down. These characters are either much stronger than him, or they possess an ability that even he cannot withstand. This list has already identified several anime characters who can beat the former God of War, but the anime world is quite large, and there are definitely more characters who can beat Kratos.
15 Thirteen’s Black Hole Would Disintegrate Kratos
Thirteen specializes in search and rescue operations, and although she does not have one of My Hero Academia’s saddest backstories, her Quirk is especially powerful. This Quirk is called Black Hole, and it gives her fingertips the ability to replicate the suction effect of a black hole.
Everything that gets sucked into her fingertips disintegrates into dust, and the pull is so strong that even light gets sucked it. Kratos may be a God, but he has never gone up against a black hole, and even his body would be destroyed by it.
14 Alucard Is An Immortal Vampire & The Strongest Of His Kind
The Major from Hellsing is considered to be one of anime’s best villains, but his plans fell through because he was up against Alucard. He is the Hellsing Organization’s greatest weapon, and it is believed that he is the oldest, most powerful pure vampire in existence.

Alucard is a true immortal, and he can fully regenerate and heal any injury within a short period of time. Even holy weapons designed to kill vampires cannot cause any permanent damage to him. Alucard possesses far too many powers to list, but he can manipulate blood, and if he can drain some of Kratos’, he can take dominion over his soul.
13 Kratos Cannot Survive Being Hit By Ōnoki’s Dust Release
He may have been old, but Ōnoki was still a Kage, which means that he was one of the strongest ninja in Naruto’s universe. He was the Stone Village’s 3rd Tsuchikage, and his predecessor taught him how to use Dust Release, an extremely rare and dangerous nature transformation.
Ōnoki can create three-dimensional objects and fire them at his opponent. These objects travel incredibly fast, and when they reach their target, they expand. Anything caught inside the object is then disintegrated at a molecular level. Kratos will have no chance if he ever gets caught in this jutsu.
12 Anos Voldigoad Can Destroy Kratos By Looking At Him
Kratos has fought all sorts of creatures over the years, but he has never faced the infamous Demon King of Tyranny. His name is Anos Voldigoad, and he is said to be the strongest demon in history. He was actually able to gravely injure someone with just his heart beat.
Anos wields a sword called Venuzdonoa, which is capable of destroying anything in existence. Even infinite and eternal objects and beings are not safe. If that was not enough, Anos also possesses Magic Eyes of Destruction, which allow him to destroy anything he looks at.
11 Lelouch Can Stop Kratos With His Geass
Lelouch is a Britannian Prince and the main character of Code Geass. Under normal circumstances, Kratos would snap him like a twig, but Lelouch is not an ordinary human. After meeting a young “witch,” Lelouch obtained a power called Geass. Ehen he activates it, he forces his target to obey his commands.
He can only use this power once per person, but against Kratos, one time is enough. All Lelouch has to do is command Kratos to never attack him, and he will have no choice but to comply. If he wanted to, Lelouch could even force Kratos to be his bodyguard.
10 Even Kratos Cannot Withstand Baraggan’s Aging Powers
The Espada are the ten strongest Arrancar in Bleach, and they each represent a different aspect of death. Baraggan was the 2nd Espada, and he represented old age and decay. Kratos might be able to stand up to him in his normal form, but he wouldn’t stand a chance if the Espada activated his Resurreccion.
When Barragan releases his sword, his aging powers increase to the point that anything around him rapidly ages and turns to dust. He can also produce a purplish miasma that quickly rots anything it touches. Kratos may be a God but even he ages, while any Godly weapons he uses would turn to dust as well.
9 Light Can Beat Him By Simply Writing His Name In The Death Note
Death Note is definitely a series that anime newcomers should sit down and watch. The series focuses on a high school student named, Light Yagami, who develops a God complex while trying to rid the world of crime. Light is an ordinary human, which means that Kratos could snap him like a twig, but he can actually beat the deity without throwing a single punch.

Light has the Death Note in his possession, and this notebook has the power to kill anyone who has their name written inside of it. Kratos has died before, and if Light simply writes his name down, he will suffer a fatal heart attack after 40 seconds.
8 Ban Is An Immortal Being Who Can Steal Kratos’ Strength
The Seven Deadly Sins features one of the best romances in all of anime, but it also gave the anime world, Ban. Ban started off as a normal human, but he became an immortal being after drinking from the actual Fountain of Youth.
Kratos can literally vaporize Ban, and his body will completely regenerate as if nothing even happened. If that wasn’t problematic enough, Ban represents the sin of greed, and he has the innate ability to steal physical objects and traits from his opponents. This means that he can steal Kratos’ mythical weapons, as well as some of his Godly strength.
7 Kratos Would Be Disintegrated By Tomura’s Quirk
Under normal circumstances, Kratos would destroy someone as scrawny as Tomura Shigaraki, but this guy actually possesses one of the strongest villain quirks in My Hero Academia. The quirk is called Decay, and it allows him to disintegrate anything he touches with his fingers.
Kratos might be able to survive multiple stab wounds and Godly punches, but even he cannot survive disintegration. This quirk is so strong that Tomura should be able to disintegrate Krastos’ Blades of Chaos, which means that his Leviathan Axe and Guardian Shield wouldn’t stand a chance either.
6 Captain Yamamoto’s Sword Would Burn Kratos Out Of Existence
Captain Commander Yamamoto is one of the strongest Soul Reapers in all of Bleach, and most of that power comes from his sword, Ryūjin Jakka. This sword is the oldest and most powerful fire-type Zanpakutō, and its Shikai can incinerate anything it touches.

The Bankai is far more dangerous, as the temperature of the flames can reach up to 15 million degrees. Even if Kratos wanted to get in close, he would burn up before he could finish his attack. If Yamamoto were to cut Kratos, the blade’s heat would burn him out of existence.
5 Trafalgar D. Law’s Devil Fruit Would Completely Immobilize Him
One Piece is regarded as one of the greatest shonen anime of all time, and one of the main reasons for this is that certain characters have very unique powers. Many of these powers are associated with Devil Fruits, and Trafalgar D. Law’s fruit would completely immobilize Kratos.
The Op-Op Fruit gives Law the ability to create a spherical space, and anything in that space is subject to his control and manipulation. All Law has to do is separate Kratos’ limbs from his body and the Sony icon won’t be able to move let alone attack.
4 Saitama Can Literally Beat Kratos With A Single Punch
Saitama does not get excited about battle anymore, and that is because he has become the strongest known being in the universe. Like Kratos, Saitama possesses inhuman strength and endurance, but unlike the God of War, he has unparalleled speed and reflexes.
If the two were to get into a melee fight, Saitama would annihilate Kratos because a single punch would likely destroy every bone and organ in the Spartan’s body. Even if Kratos survived the hit, he would never be able to injure Saitama since his body is basically invulnerable.
3 Father Is More Power Than Any God Kratos Has Ever Faced
Kratos has dealt with his fair share of evil villains, but none of them would compare to the main villain of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Father was the first homunculus, but he did not obtain a real body until he tricked a king and scientist into sacrificing over 100,000 people.
Father is capable of using alchemy while ignoring the laws of physics, and when he obtains the Philosopher’s Stone, his powers amplify to the point that he is technically a God. He can literally create matter out of nothing, and if he wanted to, he could turn all of Kratos’ weapons into harmless foam replicas.
2 Kratos Wouldn’t Stand A Chance Against Itachi’s Sharingan
Even by the Uchiha Clan’s standards, Itachi was a prodigy, as he mastered the Sharingan at a very young age. The base Sharingan gives Itachi the ability to read his opponent’s movements, which means that he would be able to dodge and counter Kratos’ ranged and melee attacks.

Itachi also possesses the Mangekyō Sharingan, which allows him to use some of the strongest jutsu in all of Naruto. He can hit Kratos with the Amaterasu, which are black flames that will continue to burn until Kratos is completely incinerated. He can also summon a Susanoo, but he is special because it comes equipped with a mystical shield that can block any attack, and it has a sword that seals away anything it cuts.
1 Zeno Can Erase The Entire Universe
The Dragon Ball franchise is filled with characters who can produce incredibly powerful energy attacks, but known of those characters compare to Zeno. He may look like an innocent child, but Zeno is the Omni-King, and he once wiped out six entire universes at once.
Kratos may be a God, but even he is not strong enough to destroy the entire planet. If he cannot do that, what hope does he have against an all-powerful being who can literally destroy an entire universe by snapping his fingers?
